- Did you always want to be a model? Tell us about how you were discovered.

My modeling career happened quite by accident. I have been an art director and graphic designer for the music industry for over 25 years. My son has been a model ever since he was a baby, and the casting directors started asking me if I had an agent. I was booked on Bobbi Brown’s master class, and that’s really when it all took off. In all honesty, I would never have modeled when I was younger. I didn’t have the confidence and was too self-conscious. At this age, I’m happier in my skin and okay with my flaws. The industry has also become much more inclusive, which is refreshing. In fact, I believe it is my gray hair that keeps me working. I owe my modeling career all to my son. He was the one who told me to stop coloring my grays because it took my superpower away (he loved X-Men), LOL.

- What are your favorite forms of self care and why?

I’m pretty low-maintenance. I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis. I have a simple beauty routine—gentle cleanser and a face oil to moisturize. I make sure to carve out some “me time” every day—whether it’s drawing, taking a walk, or just sitting outside with my dogs with a cup of coffee. I feel that it’s important to take that time for my mental and emotional well-being.

- What other passions do you have aside from modeling?

I’m passionate about animal rescues. I’m a big music lover of all genres. I love to dance, paint, go to the beach (my absolute happy place!), hike, and play pickleball. Staying physically and mentally active is important to me.
