- Did you always want to be a model? Tell us about how you were discovered.

Modeling has always been something I was told I could do but didn’t pursue because “it wasn’t the right time”. It was while meeting with some friends/ current models who had recently been featured in Vogue that I was convinced my time to pursue this was now. The following week I was invited to participate in NYMMGs open casting and the rest is history.

- What are your favorite forms of self care and why?

I love going to fine art exhibitions; I’m a creative person and always find it freeing to see how others use various mediums and process to tell their stories. I live along the Potomac river and have found a sense of calm when I get up at/before sunrise to sit by the water without the distractions of technology/ other people and can truly ground myself in the present - there’s a Nigerian saying that goes, “be where your feet are planted” and I try my best to find ways to do that through my day to day.

- What other passions do you have aside from modeling?

I’m a visual artist, I love to take photos that capture a story with a 2x3 frame - using film or my DSLR camera to do so. I have also begun experimenting in textile manipulation and creation, using denim as my primary medium to tell the story of some of the places that I have traveled to and pay homage to my late grandfather who was the best tailor in the village back in Nigeria.
