- Did you always want to be a model? Tell us about how you were discovered.

When I was younger, I wanted nothing more than to be a model. I would sit glued to America’s Next Top Model, Project Runway, Say Yes to the Dress—any show with models—and study every detail, imagining myself there. But as a Black, gay man, I knew I needed a strong foundation first. I promised myself I’d finish my education before chasing the dream, and I did. After that, I set my own goal: book ten events. I reached it. I’ve walked, I’ve been photographed, I’ve even experienced being “signed.” So today, I don’t say I’m becoming a model. I am one.

- What are your favorite forms of self care and why?

Searching for friends who support you, hold you accountable; look, sound, see the world differently than you because those are the people who want to see you succeed in whatever it is you do. 2. Poetry has always been in and out of my life. I see poetry as a way to connect my inner thoughts to the life I experience everyday. 3. Playing dress up can never go wrong! I love trying on my friend’s clothing as a way to try and style a new outfit that they’ve never even thought of before, even if I’m styling myself (hehe)!

- What other passions do you have aside from modeling?

Volleyball is my favorite sport to play and watch! While I’m not professional, I did have the opportunity in HS and college to create a men’s team because of how much I love volleyball. Looking back now, the volleyball teams are still going strong after 5 years (HS) and 1 year (college)!
