- Did you always want to be a model? Tell us about how you were discovered.

Deep down, I always wanted to be a model, even if I didn’t always believe I was capable of becoming one. Growing up, I was deeply insecure about being tall and having big, curly hair. I was raised in an area with very little diversity, which made it difficult to recognize the beauty in my uniqueness at the time. Instead, I poured my energy into sports and academics…two spaces where I felt more confident and validated.

Everything shifted when I was discovered by my first modeling agency on Instagram, which gave me the courage to explore the industry more seriously. Later, I was discovered by my current agency during the 2024 Miss DC USA pageant, where I placed First Runner-Up. That experience was incredibly affirming. It marked a full-circle moment of learning to embrace what once made me feel different and realizing those same qualities are what make me stand out. Modeling has since become a way for me to celebrate individuality and step fully into my confidence.

- What are your favorite forms of self care and why?

To me, self-care is anything that helps cultivate peace of mind. Right now, that starts each morning with reading a daily devotional, which helps set the tone for my day and keeps me grounded in my faith. It provides clarity, intention, and a sense of calm before the demands of the day begin.

As a former athlete, movement is also a huge part of how I care for myself. Whether I’m hiking, biking, or going to the gym, staying active helps me stay connected to my body and manage stress. I truly believe the mind–body–spirit connection is real and must be honored.

Self-care also means protecting my energy. This year, that has looked like setting healthier boundaries—learning to say “no,” advocating for myself, and recognizing that peace sometimes requires stepping back. Prioritizing my well-being allows me to show up as my best self, both personally and professionally.

- What other passions do you have aside from modeling?

Outside of modeling, I’m passionate about service, growth, and personal development. I volunteer at my local animal shelter, which is incredibly grounding and rewarding. I’m also working on a journal designed to help guide others toward self-discovery and self-reflection. I, like so many others, have personally struggled with self understanding and I believe that knowing your inner identity is the foundation for navigating life with confidence, clarity, and purpose. This project is rooted in the idea that when you truly know and fully understand yourself, every other decision becomes more intentional.

Advocacy is another important part of who I am. I care deeply about speaking up for people who may not be in a position to advocate for themselves and using my voice with intention. I love reading as a way to keep my mind sharp and continuously learning, and I’m passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle that supports both physical and mental well-being.
